Our environmental initiatives such as tree plantation, clean-up drives, and sustainability awareness reflect our commitment to protecting nature for future generations. Beyond service, we empower youth through leadership training, skill development, and personality building workshops, ensuring that today’s young people grow into tomorrow’s changemakers.

Our Signature Projects

Every tenure is marked by one Signature Project, a key initiative carried out to create lasting and meaningful impact. Once initiated, these projects are carried out almost every year, allowing them to grow, evolve, and continue benefiting communities over time . Each project is carefully planned and executed to address important community needs, ensuring tangible and enduring benefits.

Dashain at Orphanage

Every year during Dashain we dedicate a special day to visiting orphanages, bringing smiles and joy to children who have little but so much hope in their hearts. We collect funds and gift them new clothes and shoes as a dashain clothes, helping them feel loved, celebrated, and part of the festive spirit.
We place tika and jamara on each child, sharing not just tradition, but warmth, care, and a sense of belonging. On this day, the Lions also put tika on the Leos, symbolizing guidance, support, and togetherness.
The laughter, the wide eyed excitement, and the heartfelt gratitude of these children remind us why service matters to touch lives, to spread love, and to make every child feel seen, valued, and cherished during the festival of Dashain.

Deusi Bhailo Fundraising

Deusi Bhailo fundraising event is carried out on Goru Tihar, one of the special days of the Tihar festival. We spend the entire day visiting houses and performing traditional songs and dances, spreading joy and festive cheer throughout the day.
The funds collected during this celebration are used to support various community projects, donations which will be carried through out the year helping us make a meaningful and lasting impact.

Leo Library Project

Knowledge is the key to empowerment, and Leo Club of Kathmandu Atal Pingalasthan believes every child deserves access to it. Through our library initiatives, we have established three libraries , two in local schools inside valley and one in Ramechap district.

The library in Ramechap, named Atal Patnadevi Library, is especially significant as it provides students from seven surrounding villages with access to books, learning materials, and a space to grow their knowledge.By creating these centers of knowledge, we aim to empower students, bridge educational gaps, and provide every child the opportunity to explore, learn, and dream beyond their immediate environment.

One Tree Campaign

The One Tree Campaign is a unique initiative where every member of Atal Pingalasthan, along with their family and relatives, plants a tree on their birthday or another special occasion. Each tree planted is more than a symbol of celebration, it is a lasting contribution to the environment, creating shade, clean air, and life for generations to come.
Even as time passes and we are no longer around, the trees we have planted continue to benefit the surroundings. This campaign emphasizes sustainability, reminding us that small, consistent actions can lead to a greener, healthier, and more resilient world. By planting a tree, we leave behind a living legacy that grows, flourishes, and nurtures life, reflecting our commitment to the environment and to future generations.

Project Synergy

Project Synergy was initiated with four districts and four clubs under Leo District Council 325, with the aim of fostering collaboration and collective impact. Today, the initiative has grown to include eight clubs, united by the vision of working together on meaningful projects.

Project Synergy focuses on key areas such as health, children’s welfare, environmental sustainability, and combating hunger, ensuring that combined efforts reach wider communities and create lasting change. By pooling resources, expertise, and energy, the participating clubs are able to maximize their impact, implement larger initiatives, and address critical community needs more effectively.
